Sewer Stewardship Reminder

The 3 Ps

Despite marketing and labels, flushable wipes DO NOT break down when flushed. They cause serious stoppages and backups, especially when combined with cooking grease and oils from drains and garbage disposals. Wipes should NEVER be flushed and always disposed of in the trash. Please be a good neighbor and do your part to prevent costly and time-consuming sewer equipment blockages or breakdowns, and never put the following in your toilets, drains, or garbage disposals.

  • Baby/Facial/Cleaning Wipes
  • Fat, Cooking Oil, or Grease
  • Salad Dressing
  • Coffee Grounds
  • Egg Shells
  • Tampons, Applicators, Sanitary
  • Napkins, or Wrappers
  • Paper Towels, Napkins, or Tissues
  • Hair
  • Condoms or Wrappers
  • Dental Floss or Picks
  • Cotton Swabs or Cotton Balls
  • Diapers
  • Bandaids or Bandages
  • Rags and Towels
  • Latex Gloves
  • Plastic of Any Kind
  • Candy or Food Wrappers
  • Cigarette Butts
  • Makeup/Mascara Containers
  • Rocks, Pebbles, Aquarium Gravel, or Kitty Litter
