GoPro Mountain Games concert tickets on sale now

Vail, Colo., March 21, 2022 – The GoPro Mountain Games, celebrating 20 years June 7-12, are anchored by 30-plus competitions now spanning six days. But when the daytime events are complete, all eyes (and ears) shift to the Mountains of Music concerts taking place at The Amp Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the GoPro Mountain Games (June 9-11).
As the country’s most celebrated festival of adventure sports, art and music, the GoPro Mountain Games offer non-stop action to help kick off summer in the Rocky Mountains in a celebration of the mountain lifestyle we all love. The GoPro Mountain Games are a project of the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation, which re-introduced the Winter Mountain Games this winter.
This year’s GoPro Mountain Games Mountains of Music lineup features:
  • Thursday, June 9: Twiddle with a special opening set by Mihali & G. Love
  • Friday, June 10: Gov’t Mule along with a special set from Grace Potter & Warren Haynes
  • Saturday, June 11: The Wailers featuring Julian Marley with a special opening set from Mishka
All concerts are general admission. Tickets to each Mountains of Music concert are priced at $25 and go on sale Friday, March 25. Set in the heart of Vail, The Amp is a special venue where the majesty and splendor of the Rocky Mountains meet world-class entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at summer.mountaingames.com/music/. 
In addition to the nightly concerts at The Amp, Mountains of Music at the Mountain Games will include a free concert on Wednesday, June 8, at the Little Beach Amphitheater in Minturn following the GoPro Dual Slalom competition. Then, there will be three smaller daytime stages that will keep the music going in Lionshead, Vail Village & Golden Peak each day. Free live music from a variety of local and regional bands will kick off on Thursday and continue throughout the days until Sunday afternoon. Jam in the Van, a mobile music production studio based out of Los Angeles, will return to the GoPro Mountain Games this year and will be hosting live sessions in the Jam Van and concerts outside the Van each day in Golden Peak. The full daytime music schedule will be posted in May.

Thursday, June 9
Twiddle, Mihali & G. Love
Mihali Savoulidis is the lead singer and guitarist for Vermont rock quartet Twiddle. Garrett Dutton, better known as G. Love, is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, harmonica) out of Philadelphia. Mihali and G. Love will collaborate and perform together in Vail to kick things off on June 9. 
With 12 years of relentless touring behind them, Vermont-based rock band Twiddle has built an impressive resume spanning Red Rocks to Bonnaroo. The jam band utilizes instrumental improvisation in their live performances, incorporating influences from a variety of music genres including rock, jazz, bluegrass, reggae and funk.
 
Friday, June 10
Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter & Warren Haynes
Led by Grammy Award-winning guitar legend Warren Haynes, Gov’t Mule is an American Southern rock jam band formed in 1994 as a side project of the Allman Brothers Band. Current members include Haynes (guitar, vocals); Matt Abts (drums, percussion, vocals); Danny Louis (keyboards, guitar, trumpet, vocals); and Jorgen Carlsson (bass guitar). The band has nine studio albums – most recently “Heavy Load Blues” in 2021 – in addition to numerous EPs and live releases.
 
A bluesy, roots rock specialist with a powerful voice, Grace Potter is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (primarily Hammond B-3 and guitar). Warren Haynes is best known for his work as longtime guitarist with the Allman Brothers Band and as a founding member of the jam band Gov’t Mule.
 
Saturday, June 11
The Wailers featuring Julian Marley, Mishka
Signed to Jimmy Buffett’s record label, Mishka is a reggae musician from Bermuda who will be making his first appearance in the Vail Valley.
The son of reggae music icon Bob Marley, Julian Marley is a British Jamaican reggae musician, songwriter, producer and humanitarian. He follows in his father’s footsteps and is a devout Rastafarian who uses his music to inspire his life and spirituality. The Wailers have comfortably claimed their place in essential music history as reggae royalty and make their return to The Amp with Julian Marley.
