The start of the 2019 concerts season continues Wednesday June 19th, with the Avon Live kick off concert in Nottingham Park.

Avon, CO – Join us at the Avon Performance Pavilion, at Harry A. Nottingham Park, on Wednesday, June 19th for family fun and music at the Avon LIVE! free community concert. The Shook Twins will take the stage at 7:00 p.m., entertaining audiences with their ‘quirky folk’ music, which incorporates banjo, guitar, upright bass, mandolin, ukulele and other acoustic instruments. Local act Shakedown Family Band will open the show at 5:30 p.m.
Concert & Event Specials: The concert is free to the public, and features vendors offering mouthwatering food and a collection of craft brews, wine, refreshing spirits and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase, with $3 off drinks before 6:00 p.m.
The Bands: The Shook Twins kickoff the 2019 Summer Concerts in the Park music series! Sisters from Idaho and currently residing in Portland, Oregon, their music incorporates banjo, guitar, upright bass, mandolin, ukulele along with other acoustic instruments and has been referred to as "quirky folk."
With three full-length releases and a handful of EPs since 2008, acclaim has come to Shook Twins by way of everyone from USA Today and Baeble Music to Langhorne Slim, and The Lumineers. Beyond gigs with the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov and Ani DiFranco, the Shooks have captivated crowds at High Sierra Music Festival, Lightning In A Bottle, Bumbershoot, Hulaween, Summer Camp Music Festival, and Northwest String Summit, to name a few.
