Eagle River Station was voted down by Eagle residents yesterday.
The results were first announced on KZYR this morning at 6 a.m.
The final results were 1,175 voting against the project and 1,019 in favor of the plan.
Town officials stayed up late into the night/early morning counting votes. The final tally became available at 4 o'clock this morning.
The election was a record for the Town. About 2,200 residents voted in the election. That's about 61 percent of Eagle's 3,585 registered voters.
Plans for Eagle River Station include 552,000 square feet of commercial space with a Target store, hotel and 581 condos on the east side of town.
