Many thought Sarah McLachlan's all female tour was finished as a concept due to poor US ticket sales, but now shows headed to Australia.
Despite a stuttering run in North America, the Lilith Fair tour is heading to Australia.
Lilith co-founder Sarah McLachlan will headline the all-female lineup, which will visit these shores in October for a five-date tour.

Group CEO Terry McBride in a statement. "It's now time to spread Lilith
internationally starting with one of our favorite places in the world,
Australia."
"A Taste of Lilith" kicks off Oct. 4 at Sydney's
Enmore Theatre, before visiting Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and wrapping
up Oct. 16 at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
All shows will
carry two-tiers of ticket prices. The standard ticket price is $149
Australian ($133), while a "Platinum Reserved" ticket package will be
priced at $249 Australian ($222). For each ticket sold, $1 Australian
($0.89) will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Lilith Fair reported 104 North American shows to Billboard Boxscore
from 1997-1999 that grossed $52,937,965 and drew 1,616,500 people. The
shows featured a wide range of acts including Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Dixie Chicks, Erykah Badu, Sinead O'Connor and Me'shell Ndegeocello, among others.
After a 10-year hiatus, Lilith returned to the United States this
summer, but slammed into a depressing touring season. Ultimately, 13 of
the 36 shows on the tour were canceled.
