KZYR listeners will now be able to watch the radio station’s popular “Community Focus” talk show live on channel 18 every week.
Thanks to a partnership between ecotv18, Eagle County’s government access channel, and KZYR The Zephyr, viewers will now be able to watch the radio station’s popular “Community Focus” talk show live on channel 18 every week. The hour-long interview show airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and features topics of local interest, ranging from the economy to education to H1N1 flu.
In the past, approximately six Community Focus shows per year took place at the Eagle County building and were simulcast on channel 18. Installation of a wide-angle Web camera in the KZYR studio and networked to ecotv18 will now allow the show to air weekly. While Rohn Robbins is the primary host, Tricia Swenson will host the inaugural simulcast from the studio tomorrow night (2/3) at 7 p.m. featuring a three-guest panel on women’s health. “We’re very excited to add a visual element to the show,” said Tony Mauro, vice president of operations for KZYR. “This is a great partnership between the county and the station. We are now True Local Media."
Both KZYR and ecotv18 provide online access to live and archived programming. Visit www.kzyr.com or www.ecotv18.com for a complete listing.
