Peter Gabriel is mentioned in the Vampire Weekend song, Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa.  The chorus is sung, " But this feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel too"

Gabriel has vowed to cover the song but has not commented on wheter he will change the lyric or not. Says Gabriel, "Well I haven't quite worked that out whether I should be doing that or substituting it with a name that might be appropriate to me -- I think playing with yourself makes you go blind after a while."

Peter is making a bit more of himself lately as he recently released, "Big Blue Ball" which was recorded with a number of artist ten years ago but only recently taken off the shelves.
