Campout for the Cause Kicks Off TODAY

CAMPOUT FOR THE CAUSE BRINGS ELEPHANT REVIVAL, MARK FARINA, PAPER BIRD & HEAD FOR THE HILLS

Campout for the Cause celebrates its 6th anniversary by returning riverside to Rancho Del Rio in Bond, Colorado, May 23rd - 25th.  Campout for the Cause is a boutique music and yoga gathering featuring two stages, 25 artists, 10 yogis, camping, workshops and classes.  This is the first time in 4 years that Campout for the Cause hosts the entire event at Rancho Del Rio.  Rancho is one of the last remaining gems of the west, surrounded by protected lands and the Colorado River, just 40 miles west of Vail Valley. Campout for the Cause is donating proceeds directly to two non-profits, All Hands Volunteers and the Eagle Valley Land Trust.

Campout for the Cause is celebrating artists that deliver authentic performances rooted in thoughtful music with styles ranging from bluegrass to reggae, acoustic roots to mushroom jazz. Music takes place on the main Campout Stage from 3pm-2am on Friday, May 23rd and 10am-2am Saturday and Sunday.  Between main stage performances will be sets on the ‘Hootenanny Bar Deck’ and Bluegrass and Bloody Mary’s, both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Colorado sweethearts, Elephant Revival headline the weekend along with Paper Bird, Head for the Hills and special guest DJ Mark Farina performing his original Mushroom Jazz.  Other acts rounding out the weekend’s line-up and performing on the two stages are Fruition, Wood and Wire, Bonfire Dub, The Mother Hips, Grant Farm, Sea Stars, Olora Brothers, Scott Law, The Congress, Tierro, Trout Steak Revival and Gipsy Moon.  The acrobatic team from Denver, Fractal Tribe will perform throughout the festival site, adding a colorful and theatrical element to the weekend.

Campout for the Cause is committed to creating a space for connection, community and celebrating diversity. The yoga element at this year’s Campout has been expanded tripling the number of yoga teachers, classes and times to encourage all to attend multiple classes.  Merging music and yoga, artists including Kirby K, Scott Law and Sea Stars will play hand drums during select yoga classes throughout the weekend adding to the flow at the new riverside yoga zone. Focusing to the mantra of “movement creates sustainability for a festival” the Campout yoga schedule includes SUP yoga, vinyasa flow, kids yoga and restorative classes for all levels and welcomes all first time yogis.

Campout for the Cause encompasses all aspects of the healthy, outdoor Colorado lifestyle. The campgrounds sit on a grassy knoll, next to the river with just a short walk to the main stage. The new yoga tent overlooks the Colorado River and yoga classes are included in the ticket price for the weekend. Stand Up Paddle Colorado will be on-site providing discounted stand up paddleboard tours and clinics for festival attendees 3-5pm each day down the Colorado River.

There will be three different food vendors on-site and Moe’s BBQ offering hot BBQ and a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Campout for the Cause has partnered with Bonfire Brewing Co. to produce a festival brew, “Campout for the Cause India Pale Ale.  The Campout Ale is available in stores around the Vail Valley and Denver. Supporting local brands and businesses, Campout for the Cause has also partnered with Weston Snowboards and Breckenridge Distillery.

Campout for the Cause is a family friendly event with a designated family camping area and kids under the age of 13 are FREE.  Three day festival tickets are $129 and include camping, yoga, workshops and three days of music.  Tickets are on-sale exclusively through the festival website, where you can also find the full line-up, schedule and information on Rancho Del Rio.
