Walking Mountains Earth Day Essay Contest and Summer HS Internship

Walking Mountains Science Center in Avon is hosting an Earth Day Essay Contest for local students in grades 3-12! Essays are due next Friday (4/11), and must address the following prompt: “Describe your vision for new and creative ways to help our community live in harmony on Planet Earth. Think BIG, but practical – what kinds of changes would you like to see that could really make a difference in our valley?

AWESOME prizes will be awarded to three winners, one in each age division:

Grades 3-5: a brand new Android tablet

Grades 6-8: another brand new Android tablet

Grades 9-12: a special edition, custom designed Walking Mountains Weston snowboard

Walking Mountains is also currently accepting applications for PAID 8-week summer internships for high school students. Earn free college credit and get to work outdoors, performing data collection for the US Forest Service!
